Texas dentist announces free clinic

A Texan dentist has announced that he will host a one-off event at his surgery in Denison.

Dr Stephen McAnaney will open his office to patients for the day, in conjunction with dental charity, ‘Dentistry from the Heart’.

Dr McAnaney hosted a similar event a few months ago; he and his team of staff were overwhelmed by the response, with people queuing for treatment. During the day, the team treated hundreds of Texoma residents and it is hoped that they will be able to match those achievements at the upcoming event.

The next event will take place on the 13th August and is open to anyone over the age of 18. The clinic is aiming to treat those who would otherwise struggle to access affordable care; currently, thousands of people go without dental care because they cannot afford treatment and they do not have dental insurance. The clinic will open at 8am and will run all day.

Dentistry from the Heart is a non-profit organisation, which aims to help those in need of dental treatment; since it started, it has helped thousands of patients and provided millions of dollars worth of free treatment.
