Will dental crown prevent me from having MRI scan?

Q.
Does a dental crown contain any metal elements that may prohibit me getting an MRI scan? I need to get the scan for a matter that is not related to dentistry in any way as it is my knee but could it still be problematic?
A.
Many dental restorations contain metal.  Any metal elements in your mouth will not prohibit you from having an MRI.  Dr. Lemongello
