What could pain in jaw be caused by?

Q.
I am getting pain in my jaw and I think I have all the symptoms of TMD. Is there any way I can get rid of this myself or is there even any treatment available? It is a right nuisance.
A.
Undiagnosed pain in the jaw is a concern.  It can be a number of things causing this.  TMD, infected tooth, bone cancer or even periodontal(gume/bone disease).  Be prudent about this and seek professional assistance.
