Help, I have got periodontal disease, and have an abcess on my gum. I got some antibiotax from the dentist. which improved it but did not get rid of it. About 6 weeks later i returned to the dentist, and asked her how i could get rid of it. I was told i could use Corsodyl mouth wash / gel, which doesn’t appear to be doing any good. The abcess keeps getting a smallish yellow head on it, i have tried squeezing it, but cannot always burst it, the yellow head keeps coming and going. I have also tried rinsing my mouth with salt water. What can i do to get rid of it. It is not painful at the moment, and i don’t really want to have the tooth out, can you suggest anything? please advise

Depends on where the infection is from…..Root canal treatment is most likely the course of action to eliminate the problem.
