Q. Over 14 years I have had my veneers replaced two times and I am now going to need to get them replaced again. Is there not other option as I bound to need to get them replaced in not too many years.
A. Replacement of veneers every 7 years sounds like a lot. It is unusual to hear this. Full coverage crowns may have to be an option if you choose to do this again.

Q. I have a dental crown that keeps falling out and to no error of my own as far as I am concerned. I have already paid once to get it put back in but is it worth doing so again. Should I get some other treatment or is this even doewn to some fault with the dentist that the crown she put in keeps falling out? Thanks.
A. I would consider a second opinion from another dentist. You may want to get an opinion before it falls off again but once off a new doctor may be able to give you a better idea why it won’t stay on. Dr. Lemongello

Q. I have begun to grind my teeth at night when I never did so before. My wife says that she can actually hear it and that it is a horrible sound. I have heard about mouth guards but where would I get one? Would it be from the dentist and have to be specially made for my teeth?
A. Yes, see your dentist. There is a very specific way to design these for them to work and be comfortable

Q. Hi Dr Lerner * Lemonhello I managed tp chip one of my front teeth but it is not too bad. Noticeable but not too bad. What I would like to know is if I sould be worried that the tooth will decay or get any worse?
A. Ultimately the tooths integrity is compromised but decay is unlikely. If cracked the tooth could get worse. I would recommend you have it evaluated by a dentist to make sure no treatment is needed. Dr. Lemongello

Q. I have had my denture for nearly a year now. From the off my dentist mentioned implants and I said I may do so down the line but can not afford it at that present time. Well, now I can afford it and feel that it would relaly help with my dentures which can be loose on occasion. How many implants would be needed to hold a complete upper denture in place. How much? The denture would not need any adjusments would it?
A. Implant born dentures are the best!! You most likly will need a minimum of 4 fro it to be predicatably solid. Adjustments are minimal.

Q. What are the teeth whitening systems like that you can get from the dentists to do at home, Are there checkups or anything so make sure things are going alright?
A. The systems are called “take home whitening”. There are many different products available and your dentist will choose a sytem that is right for you. Usually, once the sytem is given to you no check up appointments are necessary. However, the dentist is available to monitor the changes and answer any questions you have providing feedback and guidance to achieve the best results. Dr. Lemongello

Q. I have always suffered to some extent from clausthrobia but this has begun to get in the way of my dental treatment. My dentist being an old grumpy fool with no time for my problem does not heklp matters and so I am on the search for a dentist who does. Do you have any advice on how I can go about this please?
A. Definitely seek a new dentist and let them know of your concerns. Medications can be given in advance of treatment which can help to relax you through your treatment. Search out an AACD, BACD dentist in your area…..just get on the internet to serarch for this.
