Q. When I was younger I had to have many of those horrible silver looking fillings. Now, I am sick and tired of seeing them when I look in the mirror with my mouth open. Can I get them replaced with the newer better looking ones or are you not allowed to until the other ones have come to their end?
A. You can have these silver fillings replaced any time you decide to. If they are that old you may be surprised to find out that some of them have decay underneath but you don’t know it! You may be happy to have them removed.

Q. Which is the best braces system for closing gaps at the front teeth?
A. hi many thanks for your email, there are many brace treatments which close gaps, the conventional braces i think may treatment the gaps quicker, but even treatments such as invisalign would do this. my advice would be to seek the help of an orthodontist or general dentist that does alot of orthodontics. hope this is helpful.

Q. Are they any circumstances where a denture can not be fitted? I ask becuase I have had to have several teeth removed and when I next go to the dentist I am sure the rest of them are going to be needed to be removed. This is all becuase I have dental phobia.
A. Usually there is not a problem fitting dentures. Stay positive and relax. Dental treatment can create anxiety but most of the time everything goes smoothly and there is no need to be so phobic in the first place. Talk to your dentist and let them know how you feel.

Q. Hi Doctor, I Have a sixteen year old patient who lost his central incisor due to trauma so i need to give a provisional bridge something like a resin maryland bridge(composite wings instead of metal wings).. so needed to know the way of fabrication if it was possible to make it in the clinic. Thank you
A. hi many thanks you could just build the whole area up with composite including the wing areas. it may not last forever but with a good bonding technique i think it would be a good provisional option. hope this is helpful.

Q. Would you recommend treatment such as invisalign over something like lunmineers? is it better to keep your own teeth or does that not really matter?
A. hi many thanks for your email, my advice would be to try to keep your teeth, so i would always recommend orthodontics over veneers.

Q. I want to get a dental implant and am all set for a consultation but could you please tell me what criteria will decide if I am suitable for it?
A. Dental implants depend on appropriate bone as a foundation. There are very few situations where a dental implant is not indicated. Consult with the dentist performing the surgery.

Q. What treatment is avialable for a gummy smile?
A. the main treatment options for a gummy smile is:
1:crown lengthening, lifting the gum up.
