Q. Is laser dentistry a safer option to more common treatment tools like drills and injections? I have slight dental phobia and the use of such technology, if safe, is something that I feel would ease my anxiety when going to the dentist.

A. laser dentistry to treat decay is very limited but can be used in superficial decay areas.  This technology is not yet to the point where it can replace traditional methods of dentistry.  If you have anxiety have your dentist pre medicate you with a sedative.  This is commonly done in the US.
