Q.
I am due to have lingual braces fitted but my orthodontist has suggested I need to have my premolars extracted. I am however very apprehensive as I have heard that this may change my facial features. What would you suggest I do?

I would recommend a second opinion to determine what is best for you. Removal of bicuspids, in my opinion, should be as a last resort. My guess is you live in the UK. It may be a little challenging but I would recommend you find someone who will consult you on doing orthodontics without removing the teeth. Dr. Lemongello
