I have periodontal disease, what can I do if all of my teeth fall out?

Q.
I have just been diagnosed with periodontal disease and have been told that my teeth may fall out. I’m really worried about this and currently seeing a hygienist. If my teeth were to fall out what would my options be? I would like something to replace the missing teeth as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

I recommend you focus on trying to save your teeth by treating the disease. You may wish to consult with a Periodontist (gum specialist) to review your treatment options. There are many options available so you will not go without teeth. Once the disease is under control you can discuss the next step with your dentist. Dr. Lemongello
