I would like to have my gums contoured and have been informed about two different types either the dental surgery type or the laser surgery type. In your opinion which is the best and the most aesthetically pleasing? I want the highest chance of success. Thank you.

The technique used is dependent on whether underlying bone needs to be contoured as well. Generally, if it is only gum that needs to be contoured than a laser is my first choice. Laser contouring is quick and easy with little recovery time. If it is necessary to contour bone as well as gum than the dental surgical type of contouring is required for a predictable outcome.
