I am terribly scared of the dentist but need treatment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Hello. I have suffered with severe dental phobia all of my life and as a result of this my teeth have deteriorated into a very dire state. I have been to many dentists who haven’t been able to cure me of the phobia, each dentist was recommended by friends/family. I don’t let a dentist come near me with a needle to issue sedation or gas or anything like that I just can’t handle going into that chair. I’m at a loss as to what i can do now! Please, any advise from you would be wonderful. Thank you,
