Q. I know that when it comes to dental implants the implant needs to be give time to heal and that a temporary tooth is given to close the gap. What cost does this tooth replacement have as I think I would rather save my money if it is quite high?
A. You do not need a temporary tooth if you do not want one. The only time you may need a temporary is if it is a front tooth and the temporary is used to grow and shape the gum tissue so the final implant looks as natural as possible. The area may actually heal better undisturbed. Save your money and spend it on the needed implant. Replacement of the tooth is the most important thing.
