I can not seem to get rid of my case of halitosis, no matter how good I clean my teeth and use mouthwash and other stuff. Could this be a sign of some underlying problem perhaps? Are there any available medicines or something I could get to help with it?
Yes this could be the sign of an underlying problem. Decayed tooth structure, periodontal disease and diet can all affect the odor of your breath. These sources will unlikely be significantly affected by mouth rinse especially if it is an alcohol containing mouthrinse. Bad breath can also be a result of a gastro-intestinal disorder. Seek care first through your dentist.
