Q.
Hello. When i sleep at night on my left hand side i can feel my jaw move out of place slightly to the right and when i sleep in the right hand side my jaw sits just fine. But i have noticed now that my jaw does slant a little to the left.. why is this? can i do anything to stop it shifting further? I don’t want to undergo any surgery as it’s not that serious. Thank you.

I would not be too concerned at this point but you can have this condition evaluated by your dentist. Like all other joints in your body there cartilage between the bones. The jaw joint is no different. In this case the cartilage may be displaced some causing this effect. If your jaw starts popping or clicking see your dentist. Dr. Lemongello
